John M. Garrison - Macro Photography

EF-S 60mm

I took the pictures on this page with my Canon EF-S 60mm macro lens.

Monarch

monarch caterpillar on butterfly plant

This little fellow (gal?) is a monarch caterpillar. I had several of them in the courtyard garden. They formed crysallis, and at least a few successfully hatched into monarch butterflies.

Corn

Orange Juice

Glass of orange juice sitting on red tile coaster and lit by a beam of sunlight.

Nothing like a glass of orange juice on a bright sunny morning!

Longhorn

Longhorn logo on a blanket, lit by ray of sunlight.

The Texas Longhorns logo was sitting right in a beam of light.

Birdseed

Birdseed in a bird feeder.

The birds absolutely love this feeder. They like it even more when I remember to fill it!

Flower

Here is one of the first photos I took when I got my 60mm macro lens, about 4 years ago:

Flower with yellow petals and red center

It is nothing too spectacular, but it was the best flower picture I had taken up to that point. It convinced me I made the right decision to purchase that lens!
